Coeducational School

Our focus on helping each child grow and develop as an individual, be adventurous and develop skills for life applies equally to girls and boys. Our first class sports facilities cater for all sports with cricket, hockey and football already played. Our kind and nurturing ethos and academic excellence produces children ready and prepared for the future.

Boys can currently join all years up to Year 3 (September 2024) and each successive year group until the school is fully coeducational by 2027.

Life at KC Prep

Learning

KC Prep pupils attain a high level of academic achievement and there is a good success rate in the Kent Test with pupils leaving to join local Grammar schools. Many girls move up to KC Senior School where there is a seamless transition into Year 7. Wherever they go on to KC Prep pupils are ready and prepared for the next steps.

Nurture

KC Prep is a happy and busy school and the children enjoy their time here. All pupils receive a high level of pastoral care which ensures that they are well looked after and that their individual needs are catered for.

Sport

Pupils take part in a wide range of sports including: netball, swimming, hockey, cricket, athletics, cross-country and gymnastics. Regular matches and competitions against other schools are organised for Year 3 upwards and there are plenty of extra-curricular sporting activities on offer.

Arts

Creative and performing arts are an important part of life at KC Prep. Dedicated teachers and first class facilities help pupils develop confidence and talent. Pupils in Years 5 and 6 are able to take part in the KC Senior School drama productions.

Enrichment

At KC Prep it is important that all pupils have the opportunity to discover new talents and to nurture those that already exist. The varied choice of extra-curricular activities allows them to develop new interests and skills whilst also complementing their studies.

We are located in a beautiful seventy five acre estate in the heart of the Kent countryside. Our Nursery, Prep, Senior School and Sixth Form share an abundance of first class facilities.
