Nursery
Forest Explorers Nursery is a key entry point to Kent College Prep School, and children can join from the term they turn two years with a guaranteed place in our Reception class.
We invite families to visit us throughout the year; come along to Prep School events or join us for Nursery Stay and Play sessions. We hope you and your child will spend time getting to know us in advance of applying for a place and joining us.
Families with pre-school children are welcome to join the weekly Parent and Toddler Group on Friday mornings, 10.00am-11.00am during the term.
Ready for Reception
Friday 23rd January 9.00am – 10.00am
If you’re starting to think about your child's next steps, this session offers a gentle introduction to life in Reception. You’ll be able to see the classrooms, chat with our staff, and begin to get an idea of what your child will experience and learn in the step up to 'big school'.

Fridays in Term Time, 10.00am to 11.00am
Our Stay and Play mornings are a lovely way for you and your child to spend time together in a relaxed, friendly environment. There’s plenty of space for little ones to explore, enjoy creative activities, and join in with songs or stories. It’s also a great chance to meet our team and other families, and to get a feel for our Nursery community.
Showtime Saturday
Saturday 7th February, 8.45am-11.00am
Join us for a lively, creative morning of music and song in the Theatre, led by our Director of Performing Arts, Mrs Helen Bruce. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet our specialist teachers and see what inspires our performing arts programme. This event is for Nursery and Prep aged pupils.

Term Time
We warmly invite families to visit our Prep School for an individual tour with Head, Mrs Hall or Head of Early Years, Mrs Cole. These are by appointment only during term time.
Book HereAPPLICATION PROCESS
If you would like apply for a place for your child after visiting the Nursery, we ask for an application form together with a £120 registration fee. The registration fee now includes VAT and is non refundable.
Once we have received your application and registration fee, and subject to spaces being available, we will make an offer of a place. A £300 deposit and signed contract is required to accept the place. The deposit now includes VAT.
We will invite your child to join us for two settling-in sessions in the term before they are due to start.
