Speech Day 2026

Speech Day is one of the highlights of the Kent College calendar, a special occasion to celebrate the achievements, growth and resilience of our students, while reflecting on another successful year as a school community.

This year's celebration recognised the outstanding accomplishments of our students across academic, sporting, creative and co-curricular life, as we proudly presented awards and celebrated the dedication and hard work that underpin every success. We also bid a fond farewell to our 2026 Leavers, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of exciting new opportunities.

We were also delighted to welcome Olympic skeleton champion Lizzy Yarnold as our guest speaker. Ahead of the ceremony, Lizzy joined our Sports Scholars for a special breakfast, where students had the opportunity to ask questions about her remarkable career, gain insights into the mindset required to perform at the highest level, and even see her Olympic medals up close. It was a truly inspiring experience for our young athletes.

Lizzy's Speech Day address encouraged our students to embrace challenges, pursue their ambitions with determination and make the most of every opportunity as they begin the next stage of their own journeys. It was a privilege to have her with us to celebrate such a memorable occasion.
