We had another successful cross country event at Fosse Bank.

Our under 9 A team ran well to finish third out of 11 teams with our B team also finishing third out of 8 teams. Both our under 11 A and B teams won their events. In fact our B team finished third overall out of the 16 teams.

AM ran a great race to finish second in 5 minutes 11 seconds. EM ran brilliantly to finish just 9 seconds behind her in fourth place. While four other girls finished in the top 13 positions.

Tudor Day for Yr 4!

Year 4 spent an enjoyable day on Monday 9th June living the life as an apprentice to a wealthy
Tudor Mistress!

The girls looked fantastic and after listening to the news of that time; most importantly whether Anne Boleyn has yet borne King Henry a son; the girls set off to their workshops.

The workshops included a Barbour Surgeon(above with Mrs Lawson) which girls visited to gain remedies for illnesses such as madness.

There was also an Apothecary where girls mixed various herbs, spices and flowers to create beautifully smelling pomanders which would protect them from the nasty smells of the Tudor times.

Other workshops included embroidery, candle making and portrait drawing.
