Houses
There is a great sense of community spirit within and between houses, and the girls enjoy being part of an extended family. Birthdays are big occasions celebrated with cakes and candles, and end of term house parties are fun get togethers to bid fond farewells before the holidays. Firm and often lifelong friendships are established. Organised to meet the needs of different age groups, each of the four houses provides modern facilities with spacious bedrooms for up to four girls, cosy common rooms with TVs and videos, and bathrooms with private shower units.

James and Osborn Houses: Modern, purpose-built facilities of adjoining James and Osborn houses accommodate a mix of ages from 13 to 18. The hub of activity is always in the kitchen which welcomes impromptu gatherings whilst drinks and snacks are prepared.

Modern Boarding Houses

The much-used pool table and music system are shared facilities, although each house has its own TV room and bright modern 'quiet' room for reading and contemplation and computers with e-mail facilities. All girls have study bedrooms and final year A-level students have single rooms.

Hawkwell House: Hawkwell boarders enjoy having their own facilities during the ages of 11 to 13. Several of the rooms have recently been redecorated and modernised including the common room, which provides a haven where the girls can watch their favourite TV programmes together and relax.

Hargreaves House: Our youngest boarders, aged 8 to 11, flourish in the cosy atmosphere where they receive the individual care and attention they need. Every effort is made to make the girls feel at home and small pets such as rabbits and gerbils can be kept in the school pets' hut.
